Hotel Room is an installation based on the motif of a hotel guest room. After each guest checks out, traces of their stay—wrinkled bedsheets, scattered trash, and signs of everyday use—are erased through cleaning, restoring the room to its original state as if nothing had happened. This process embodies a sense of "reset" that rarely exists in our ordinary lives.

Focusing on this unique characteristic, I created an installation that evokes the experience of a video game's save point or a stage returning to its default state. Although a hotel room is a real, physical space, its continual restoration gives it a quality that resembles a virtual environment.

Within the installation, the figure taking a shower is depicted using a pixelated mosaic effect, creating a visual experience in which reality and the world of video games intersect. While the work evokes the surreal sensation of being inside a game, this contrast also encourages viewers to become more aware of the physical reality they inhabit. Through this installation, I explore the boundaries between reality and virtuality, memory and reset.
